Currently a manager of international business development and global sales for Sprint Corporation, Ms. Whitehead has responsibility for international marketing and program management for Sprint salespeople in six midwestern states. She serves as a domestic liaison to Global One, Sprint's joint venture with France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom.

Previously, Ms. Whitehead served as Director of the Office of International Trade for the City of Chicago and led the International Business Development Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

She is a Past President of the International Trade Club of Chicago and participates in numerous advisory boards within Chicago's international trade community.

Ms. Whitehead holds a Master's degree from the American Graduate School of International Management, known as Thunderbird. She speaks fluent Spanish and rudimentary French and Arabic. She has lived eleven years outside the United States, including London, Mexico City and Riyadh.
