Virginia M. Russell is the Associate Director of The John Marshall Law School's Center for International Business and Trade Law. She oversees the day-to-day management of the Center's Master of Laws (LL.M.)Program in International Business and Trade Law and works to promote a better understanding of the legal issues involved in international business and trade by developing programs and seminars of interest both to the legal community as well as to the community-at-large.

Prior to joining John Marshall, Ms. Russell worked for nearly 13 years with the American Bar Association (ABA) where she was Director of the International Liaison Office. Prior to the ABA, she worked in Washington, DC for the Council for International Exchange of Scholars and the American Association of State Colleges and Universities.

In addition to being an advisor and former secretary (2000-2004) of the International Trade Club of Chicago, Ms. Russell is a former chair of the Advisory Board for the Chicago Area Fulbright Visiting Scholar Enrichment Program and serves as President of the Board of Directors of the International Visitors Center of Chicago. She is also a trustee of the International Bar Association Foundation, Inc.

Ms. Russell is a graduate of St. Mary's College, Notre Dame, IN and The School for International Training in Brattleboro, VT.
