Last year, Executive Chef Frank Brunacci - a native of Melbourne - had a vision for commemorating Australia Day, the country’s national holiday, in Chicago. After a hugely successful week, he set out to make Australia Week an ever-growing tradition every January at Trump International Hotel & Tower® Chicago.

This month, and in partnership with the Australian Government, Wine Australia, The State of Victoria, Chicago’s Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, and countless participants, we are pleased to present a unique opportunity for you to experience the warmth and abundance of Australia through food and wine, art, travel, music and more.

Australian Dinner in Chicago: Six-Course Tasting Menu

On Friday, January 22, Executive Chef Frank Brunacci will partner with celebrity chef Simon Bryant of the Hilton Adelaide to present a six-course, authentic Australian prix fixe dinner accompanied by outstanding Australian wines. The Australian fare will be served exclusively for a special price of $105 per person with wine pairings. The menu will be available at Sixteen through Thursday, January 28. Both chefs will interact with guests throughout the evening, taking them through the menu and offering insight about its unique offerings.

This special Australia Day menu will also be offered through Thursday, January 28 alongside Sixteen’s a la carte and tasting menus. The price after January 22 is $105 per person or $145 with wine pairings.

Escape the Winter: Experience Australia

Be transported to a spectacular Australian marketplace with a traditional “walkabout” on Sunday, January 24 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Dozens of Australian participants will showcase more than 50 wines, artisanal cheeses, specialty seafood and meat selections, desserts, aboriginal art and more. With hourly wine seminars and conversations with travel experts – as well as live performances by popular Australian musicians Anthony Snape and Claire Windham – you’ll walk away with a newfound appreciation for The Outback.
