Event Name	JANUARY 29 • ITCC IMPORT WORKSHOP SERIES: Origin Issues and Country of Origin Marking click here for online registration
Description	Attention all importers and Customs Brokers: Proper country of origin marking is essential to avoid the potential assessment of liquidated damages, marking duties and seizure of imported goods. This program will address CBP’s regulations regarding country of origin marking as well as determinations for preferential duty programs such as NAFTA. SPEAKER: Brian F. The AMA meeting facility is located next to the Marriott O'Hare at the intersections of the Kennedy/O'Hare Expressway and Cumberland Ave. The River Road/O'Hare CTA train stops at Cumberland, walking distance to the AMA. Free parking is available in the Marriott parking lot; attendees should have their parking checks validated at the AMA. The International Trade Club of Chicago (ITCC) is a not-for-profit organization and all proceeds are used solely to cover the cost of ITCC activities. The ITCC appreciates the efforts of the volunteer speakers. CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT ATTENTION CERTIFIED CUSTOMS SPECIALISTS and ATTORNEYS: This program is approved by the National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association as qualifying for credit in its Certified Customs Specialist program. This program will provide 2.5 hours of credit. In addition, the Import Workshop Series is designated as a CLE provider by the Minimum Continuing Legal Education Board of the Supreme Court of Illinois. This program will provide three hours of credit. The ITCC will seek CLE approval for its programs from other states upon request. A $50 supplement will be charged attorneys to cover costs, including Supreme Court fees. The program is also licensed by the Illinois Department of Professional Registration for Continuing Education Credit for accountants and other professionals.
